Most people want to know a little more about us – the technicians they trust to service their vehicles. Matt Ruffman started working at Eastside Automotive in 2008 when he was just six months out of tech school. He worked for Larry Bush for nearly 14 years before he bought Eastside Automotive when Larry retired.
During those years, Matt honed his diagnostic and repair skills and got to know many of the shop’s customers on a personal level. Matt and his technicians pride themselves on their customer service and customer relationships.
We like to get to know our customers in Greer, South Carolina and create a relationship with them, as we are customer-centric. We want our customers to feel comfortable when they walk into our shop. We diagnose the problem and don’t try to upsell. We will also warn a customer of upcoming repairs, for example, if the brake pads are starting to get low or we notice the tire tread is unevenly worn or worn nearly to the tread bars.
We also keep the shop clean for our safety and our customers’ safety. Finally, we let the customer know immediately if something goes wrong, such as the warehouse sending the wrong part or we find more trouble once we’re looking at the vehicle. We understand that our customers plan on having their vehicle when we say it will be done, so we let them know if there is going to be a delay and the reason for the delay so they can make other arrangements.
